We are a small Apiary located in Southern Pennsylvania that started in 2015 as a hobby with a goal of teaching two young boys about nature and how to care for it. Since then we have slowly grown in the number of hives with that same goal of caring for nature, but now we are able to share some of the sweet rewards of our bees.
We raise Honey Bees at various locations providing free pollination of wild flowers, commercial, and private crops. From that pollination we get Raw Honey to sell. We also rescue honey bee swarms and provide them with a new home. In time we will expand our product list as our bees provide us with enough excess to offer more.
At the apiary we manage our hives and bees with the goal of trying to do no harm. We accomplish this by using only necessary natural treatments (managing brood cycles and using natural items and oils), taking only the excess from our bees (so we aren't forced to feed our bees sugar like some other apiaries), and doing what we can to help the population of pollinators grow (planting fields of wild flowers and converting grass lawns into clover lawns). Other choices we have made at the Apiary is to move from glass jars to plastic honey bottles because most municipalities no longer recycle glass and we try to limit our foot print
